Who We Are

CRC stands for “Community Receivers Consortium”.  CRC brings social consciousness to Real Estate development as it works within the communities hiring local community members to incorporate them into its real estate activities.  CRC works with the City of Chicago Law Department as a City of Chicago appointed receiver in response to Building Violations complaints that exhibit dangerous and hazardous conditions.  CRC provides property management, property maintenance and preservation, and full rehab construction.  CRC regularly purchases and forecloses outstanding receivers liens from other building court receivers. CRC partnership team includes legal, property management, construction, sales & marketing, and finance and collectively represents over 150 years of expertise and specialization.

DENA H. ELKHATIB – 

President 

Attorney At Law


A Chicago native born and raised in the Chicagoland Area.  Ms. Elkhatib is an Illinois licensed attorney with over 15 years of experience in corporate commercial transactions, financial structuring, banking and finance and aviation legal matters. She advises on a diverse array of matters, such as commercial and Islamic financings, due diligences for merger and acquisitions, restructuring, financing, corporate structuring, large cross border transactions, aircraft finance and operating leases, sukuk, and aviation related matters.  Dena Elkhatib's depth of expertise  includes crisis management of severe and catastrophic events.  Prior to becoming an attorney, she gained vast exposure to the business world through business ownership and consultation. Her entrepreneurial and non-legal skills supplement her legal expertise with business awareness and commercial acumen during a transaction. She is a well respected author who is internationally published numerous articles and her own book on Islamic Finance.   


MIKE TRAMPETTI

Director of Operations


Mr. Trampetti program managed multiple nationwide billion-dollar projects during his 17+ year tenure in the wireless industry.  As Bechtel, program manager, one of the largest EPC companies in the world, his portfolio included delivering 100,000 cell tower upgrades & new installations across the nation. This included end-to-end program management: site assessment, leasing, zoning, procurement, contract management, construction closeout, and asset management.  He has a strong background in quality control, scope, cost and scheduling.  He is Six Sigma trained to ensure repeatable processes deliver quality projects on time and within budget.    While at Mobilite within 60 day time-frame, he hired, trained and implemented a plan for over 200 attorneys in Chicago to handle all leasing and permitting to install new infrastructure for Mobilite on behalf of Sprint.  Mr. Trampetti is a Licensed Real Estate broker in Minnesota & California.    


M. FAISAL ELKHATIB

He is a commercial litigation and transactional attorney with over 20 years of experience handling and participating in commercial and corporate transactions.  A chemist by trade prior to becoming an attorney, Faisal managed, built and restructured small and medium sized corporations across multiple industries: real estate development, consumer products, manufacturing, real estate sales and marketing,Property Management and Receivership.  Mr. Elkhatib's last 11 years have primarily been dedicated to real estate matters, both litigation and transactional.


Mr. Elkhatib has practiced in housing court since 2013 appearing at times almost daily, managing the entire receivership process for private receivers from appointment to deed.  Mr. Elkhatib has personally represented landlords, tenants, property owners and receivers throughout the housing court process, obtaining a deep understanding of the intricate technical requirements and patience needed to navigate the delicate receivership program and lien enforcement process.   


NKECHI G. EKWUNIFE

A US educated and California qualified attorney experienced in business litigation, business transactions, finance, emerging business development and aviation legal matters. She advises on matters ranging from real estate development, to commercial transactions, and litigation. Prior to becoming an attorney she gained experience with international business matters through diplomacy and the development and maintenance of a West African business.    


MICHAEL YIP

Associate General Counsel Michael Yip is originally from Toronto, Canada and attended Queen's University in Kingston, Canada. He received his honors degree in Economics. After undergrad, Michael begin working for the City of Toronto and Elections Ontario, where he focused on election implementation and compliance with overarching legislation, more specifically making the election process accessible for disabled voters. In 2017, Michael graduated from DePaul University College of Law and received his Juris Doctorate degree with a certificate in Business Law. He recently passed the Illinois bar and plans to be sworn in this November 2017.
